This week, we launched the first part of a series of episodes showing our employees’ life in Quebec City. Jeff Skalski, Senior Producer, broke the ice. Today, he is listing his 10 favorite spots around Quebec City.

1. Nektar

235, rue Saint-Joseph Est, Quebec City, G1K 3B1

In my top 5 best coffee worldwide. Up there with Blue Bottle. No need to be fancy, just order their regular bean and you will be blown away.

2. Diner Saint-Sauveur

450, rue Saint-Vallier Ouest, Quebec City, G1K 1K8

Best Chicken ‘n Waffles in the north. Make sure to go all in with the fried pickles on top.

3. Festival d’été de Québec

100,000+ people, 11 days of music spread across dozens of venues. What can possibly go wrong?

4. Le Massif de Charlevoix

1350, rue Principale, Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, G0A 2L0

Ski into Saint Lawrence River and enjoy this winter wonderland. Have a little extra time? I suggest the 7.5 km sled run down Mont Liguori.

5. MacFly Bar Arcade

422, rue Caron, Quebec City, G1K 5W7

Grab a pint and enjoy the free arcade machines (They even have the classic Konami hit Track & Field!). Oh, and don’t forget to get a bacon shot while you’re there.

6. Cassis Monna & Filles

225, chemin Royal, Saint-Pierre-de-l’Île-d’Orléans, G0A 4E0

Enjoy an afternoon exploring Île-d’Orléans and grab a lunch here. Your appreciation for black currants will go to an all new level. Try their wine and black currant honey.

7. Le Chateau Frontenac

1, rue des Carrières, Quebec City, G1R 4P5

The icon of Quebec City and a must see. Swing by the 1608 bar inside for a relaxing cocktail (or two!) while enjoying their wide selection of cheeses and dried meats with a winning view.

8. L’Imaginaire

Laurier Québec, 2700, boulevard Laurier, Quebec City, G1V 2L8

Hobby porn. Everything from Space Marines to Gloomhaven, dice, miniatures, TCGs, RPG rulebooks to hosting tournaments, they have it all. Oh, and the staff is super nice!

9. Franky Johnny

208, rue Saint-Vallier Ouest, Quebec City, G1K 1K2

The smallest little sandwich shop run by one guy with the boldest tasting sandwiches I’ve ever had. (Incredible.) You can never go wrong with the pork flank.

10. Lac-Beauport

Summer, fall or winter, you really can’t go wrong. Yes, this choice maybe a little biased because I live here, but hey this is my list. ?
