Ubisoft\u2019s\u00a0Canadian studios earn Gold Parity Certification from Women in Governance.<\/h4>\n

Ubisoft\u2019s Canadian studios have earned the\u00a0<\/span>Gold-level Parity Certification from\u00a0Women in Governance<\/a><\/span><\/b>.\u00a0This\u00a0exciting\u00a0achievement\u00a0reflects\u00a0years\u00a0of steady\u00a0work to build a\u00a0fair,\u00a0inclusive,\u00a0and welcoming\u00a0workplace\u00a0for everyone.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the\u00a0<\/span>first time<\/span><\/b>\u00a0our Canadian studios have reached the\u00a0Gold\u00a0level,\u00a0and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a milestone worth\u00a0celebrating.\u202fIt\u00a0highlights\u00a0our ongoing commitment to\u00a0creating\u00a0opportunities for women to grow, lead, and build their careers across our studios.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re proud of the Gold recognition, as it is a testament to our work over the years. Before the pandemic, we were at the Bronze level. Since then, our teams have been reviewing and updating our practices every year to make sure women can thrive in our studios.\u00a0<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, we know the job\u00a0isn\u2019t\u00a0done. We still have room to strengthen leadership sponsorship and expand mentorship opportunities. And we want to encourage more women to pursue careers in technical and leadership roles, so our teams\u00a0benefit\u00a0from a wider range of perspectives and ideas.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Catherine Lemyre, VP Talent\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How this commitment comes to life<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Each\u00a0year,\u00a0the certification evaluates\u00a0organizations\u00a0across three areas:\u00a0<\/span>governance and vision<\/span><\/b>,<\/span>\u00a0collective enablers<\/span><\/b>, and<\/span>\u00a0equity<\/span><\/b>. This year,\u00a0we\u00a0made\u00a0especially\u00a0strong progress in\u00a0<\/span>collective enablers<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0These\u00a0include\u00a0policies, programs, and actions that\u00a0help\u00a0women\u00a0move forward in their careers.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u00a0are some\u00a0examples of\u00a0where\u00a0this\u00a0progress is\u00a0taking shape:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Leadership engagement.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0Leaders\u00a0at\u00a0all\u00a0levels sponsor programs\u00a0like\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>DARE to Empower<\/span><\/b>\u00a0co-coaching program.\u00a0They also\u00a0act as\u00a0<\/span>executive\u00a0sponsors\u00a0for\u00a0employee\u00a0resource\u00a0groups\u00a0(ERGs)\u00a0<\/span><\/b>and\u00a0<\/span>speak\u00a0often\u00a0about\u00a0our commitment<\/span><\/b>\u00a0to equity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Mentorship and talent development.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0Programs\u00a0such as\u00a0<\/span>Develop at Ubisoft\u00a0<\/span><\/b>and\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>Emerging Talent Mentorship<\/span><\/b>\u00a0support\u00a0students, graduates, and early-career professionals\u00a0as they\u00a0enter\u00a0and\u00a0grow\u00a0in the industry.\u00a0<\/span>MOD<\/span><\/b>\u00a0also\u00a0helps\u00a0people\u00a0transition\u00a0into\u00a0or within gaming.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Employee\u00a0resource\u00a0groups.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0Our\u00a0four\u00a0active\u00a0<\/span>Women for Equity\u00a0<\/span><\/b>chapters\u00a0across Canada\u00a0host\u00a0social\u00a0gatherings, panels, networking events,\u00a0and\u00a0volunteer activities\u00a0that foster inclusion and fairness.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Removing\u00a0barriers.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0We\u00a0analyze\u00a0promotion,\u00a0performance,\u00a0pay,\u00a0and leave\u00a0data and train managers\u00a0to\u00a0identify\u00a0and reduce\u00a0bias to support\u00a0equitable\u00a0decisions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          These\u00a0efforts are\u00a0reinforced\u00a0by\u00a0policies on discrimination and harassment prevention,\u00a0our\u00a0inclusive language guidance, and\u00a0the\u00a0work\u00a0of\u00a0our\u00a0creative teams\u00a0to embed\u00a0inclusion\u00a0in\u00a0our\u00a0games. Together, they\u00a0help\u00a0create\u00a0an\u00a0inclusive\u00a0and respectful\u00a0experience for our people and our\u00a0players.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
