He took this opportunity to announce a new corporate pillar for Ubisoft\u2019s Quebec studios: <a href=\"http:\/\/montreal.ubisoft.com\/en\/ubisoft-lumen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ubisoft LUMEN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This new program joins pillars Ubisoft CODEX and Ubisoft La Forge and aims to accelerate success for entrepreneurs in Quebec\u2019s techno-creative industry by assisting their growth in three different ways.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MENTORSHIP<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Several mentorship initiatives have been deployed within Ubisoft\u2019s Quebec studios to share the passion and expertise of our teams with local business communities. Among them, the <a href=\"http:\/\/montreal.ubisoft.com\/en\/indie-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ubisoft Indie Series presented by National Bank<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/catapultequebec.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Catapulte<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.montrealinc.ca\/en\/creatives-future-mtl-inc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Creatives \u2665 the future MTL inc.<\/a> in collaboration with Fondation Montr\u00e9al inc., and <a href=\"https:\/\/montreal.ubisoft.com\/en\/an-innovative-sustainable-mobility-association\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">InnoBahn Ubisoft<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These Ubisoft LUMEN initiatives provide specialized support from our talented teams to Quebec entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PARTNERSHIPS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In 2017 and 2018, Ubisoft studios in Montreal, Quebec City and Saguenay have collaborated with more than 350 start-ups and small, medium and large enterprises to enrich players\u2019 lives. This number includes some 85 techno-creative businesses, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audiokinetic.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Audiokinetic<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhvr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Behaviour Interactive<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frimastudio.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Frima Studio<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaldimension.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Digital Dimension<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunnysup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sunny Side Up Creative<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawebshop.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">La Web Shop<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.d-box.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D-Box<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/trio-tech.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Triotech<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/askida.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Askida<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ubisoft LUMEN aims to nurture these fruitful relationships and create new business opportunities that will connect innovative local businesses with our ecosystem, benefiting both our games and our local economy.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>VENTURE CAPITAL<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ubisoft is contributing five million dollars to White Star Capital\u2019s investment fund for techno-creative companies in Quebec.<\/p>\n<p>As a leader in Quebec\u2019s techno-creative industry, Ubisoft wants to invest further by giving companies the financial means they need to grow and develop internationally.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cQuebec\u2019s economy benefits from the diversity and innovation of techno-creative businesses,\u201d said Yannis. \u201cThis ecosystem\u2019s vitality and growth is important to attract talent, investments and projects.
