Last July, the Respect Plan was implemented by the Canadian studios of Ubisoft in order to take quick and concrete actions to guarantee our employees an environment where everyone is able to express themselves, develop and develop. to flourish in a healthy and respectful manner.<\/p>\n

CONCRETE MEASURES TO BRING ABOUT PROFOUND CHANGE<\/h3>\n

We are taking advantage of the end of the year to give you an update on the 6 measures of the first phase of the Respect Plan. Here are those six impact measures:<\/p>\n

  1. External and independent investigations;<\/li>\n
  2. An external audit of our practices, policies and governance;<\/li>\n
  3. A diverse management team;<\/li>\n
  4. A comprehensive and mandatory training plan for all employees;<\/li>\n
  5. A new engaging and binding code of conduct;<\/li>\n
  6. A post of ombuds.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. EXTERNAL AND INDEPENDENT SURVEYS FOR EMPLOYEES AND EX-EMPLOYEES OF UBISOFT<\/h3>\n

    An external, neutral and independent investigation process to deal with all cases of unacceptable, inappropriate and abusive behavior was put in place last summer. Led by the Relais Expert-Conseil (REC) firm, this process is always open to current and past Ubisoft employees.<\/p>\n

    We encourage anyone who has witnessed or been the victim of reprehensible behavior to contact REC’s investigative experts directly, while respecting the rules for the protection of privacy and personal information.<\/p>\n

    2. AN EXTERNAL AUDIT TO ENSURE A RESPECTFUL MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE<\/h3>\n

    A complete audit process conducted by the firm Accenture has been completed. The same exercise was done with all of Ubisoft’s Canadian studios. All the feedback collected will feed into our future actions and our Diversity & Inclusion plan in the short, medium and long term.<\/p>\n

    3. A MANAGEMENT TEAM REPRESENTATIVE OF THE DIVERSITY OF OUR COMMUNITY AT THE STUDIO<\/h3>\n

    We are committed to ensuring that the Ubisoft Quebec management team is diversified, so that the studio’s directions and ambitions represent our entire community.<\/p>\n

    The process of hiring a general manager for the Quebec studio is going well. An announcement will be made in the first months of 2021.<\/p>\n

    In the same vein, the head office also announced in the last days the appointment of Raashi Siika as VP Diversity & Inclusion<\/a>. Her mandate will be to design and implement an ambitious plan to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within Ubisoft.<\/p>\n

    4. A MANDATORY TRAINING PLAN FOR A COMMON UNDERSTANDING OF THE ISSUES<\/h3>\n

    Since mid-October, 100% of studio employees have completed mandatory harassment prevention training. A second compulsory training course, which focuses on conflict management, is underway. In the future, we will continue to maintain a comprehensive training offer that will provide all of our employees with the tools to foster a healthy, diverse, inclusive and safe work environment for all.<\/p>\n

    5. A CODE OF CONDUCT TO PREVENT AND COUNTER DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR ON A DAILY BASIS<\/h3>\n

    In addition to our policy of preventing harassment in the workplace, a code of conduct is in the process of being implemented. Focus groups on this project have been held in 11 countries over the past few weeks. Comments received by participants will feed into the project, which is scheduled for global publication in the first months of 2021.<\/p>\n

    6. AN OMBUDS POST<\/h3>\n
