Mille places à 1$ during FCVQ

At Ubisoft Québec, supporting the next generation is part of our DNA. Sometimes, we do it by presenting conferences or by hosting school visits in the studio. Some other times, it’s by preparing code workshops within our Ubisoft Education program. And, sometimes, it’s by making culture accessible to children and teenagers. In Quebec City, we have the chance to host a world-renowned fill festival. Since 2011, hundreds of screenings are taking place, including several world premieres.

On one side, the FCVQ wanted to join the next generation of moviegoers. On the other side, we were looking for new original ways to be involved in an event taking place in our beautiful city. No need to be a creative genius such as Xavier Dolan to see a partnership opportunity!

After a few discussions with the cool team at FCVQ, an original initiative is born: Mille places à 1 piastre.

With this initiative, a thousand children and teenagers will have the opportunity to attend a regular movie session for only one dollar. Yep, you read that right: only a loonie.

It was a natural move for Ubisoft Québec because it combines two of our studio pillars: education and innovation. Our team is super thrilled to contribute to the promotion of arts & culture for the youth. We are convinced that education can be transmitted at school, but also through daily experiences.

The Québec City Film Festival will take place between September 12^th and September 21^st. Do not miss it, and come with your children!
