Our fan this month is the German cosplayer Krishna Dammert. Besides being an incredible artist, Krishna has also been part of the Assassin’s Creed community for a long time now. We invite you to take a look at his Instagram page. You will not be disappointed!

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS.

Never stop learning.

I really believe that life gives us chances to grow with every challenge and we should never stop adding towards our skills and personality growth.

WHAT IS YOUR ALL-TIME FAVOURITE GAME?

It depends! Some days it’s Assassin’s Creed II and other on days it’s The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. Both games include such a great variety of characters, which you can build very believable and strong connections with. So far, I haven’t managed to get through that second game for a second time. All the scenes of the games are still so clearly set in my memory… I think I will need more time to rediscover it again.

IT WOULD NOT BE A PROPER GAMING SESSION WITHOUT…

A woollen blanket and cup of water with a lemon or tea, for sure!

Also, I can only play late at night, when everything I had to do for the day is done. It’s a great time for me to settle down and immerse myself in the worlds of the games.

IN YOUR OPINION, WHO ARE THE 3 PEOPLE EVERYONE SHOULD FOLLOW ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Here I could list creative and artistic people for the entire day! I know you mention three, but I would like to mention some of my good friends from the costuming community:

➝ The Companion Photography, who takes some of the most dramatic and scenic costume photos.

➝ Skunk & Weasel, who both have this way of transmitting their passion to us in their work.

WHAT IS THE FIRST UBISOFT GAME YOU HAVE EVER PLAYED?

The Ezio Trilogy. (Starting with Assassin’s Creed II) This usually comes as a surprise, but I do not play a great variety of video games and Assassin’s Creed is so far the only long-running series I have followed through every main instalment!

IF YOU COULD BE ANY CHARACTER OF ANY GAME, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

I am not sure I would like to change places with one of their fateful lives, but I particularly appreciate Ezio. He learns to manage his temperament and he also finds the means of using it to his advantage. Many of his speeches are, in my opinion, among the best that have been written in the history of entertainment.

IF YOU WERE STUCK ON A DESERTED ISLAND (WITH WI-FI) WITH ONLY THREE VIDEO GAMES TO PLAY. WHAT WOULD THEY BE?

Talking about WI-FI, we have trouble getting a good Wi-Fi connection here in Germany. Would you mind telling me where to find this deserted, yet technically futuristic island? 😛

➝ It seems like I never get tired of playing Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, so I would probably bring those two games.

➝ I would also bring Red Dead Redemption. This is another game that I particularly enjoy playing.

IF YOU COULD LIVE IN ONE OF ASSASSIN’S CREED’S TIME PERIODS, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE?

Having always been intrigued by history and different cultures, the franchise speaks to me a lot. Whenever a new game is revealed, I love to learn more about the era of the game by reading books and watching documentaries.

My two favourite eras in the series are probably the French Revolution and the Italian Renaissance.

WHAT DOES BEING PART OF THE ASSASSIN’S CREED COMMUNITY MEANS TO YOU?

What surprises me the most about the Assassin’s Creed community is that it has truly gone international! You can easily meet fans from all over the world. I believe that the wide variety of eras and cultures that are presented in the franchise attracts a large audience, with different interests. In the end, all these people are brought together in the same community.

Events like Gamescom are also great opportunities to meet many members of this community and it’s pretty unique.

WHAT IS THE ONE QUESTION YOU’RE DYING TO ASK A DEVELOPER?

I had the chance to visit the Ubisoft Quebec studio. I’ve also had discussions with some character designers at Ubisoft Montreal. If I had the opportunity, I would obviously like to pursue some discussions, because they always seemed very inspiring to me.
