The Ubisoft Quebec team is gearing up for an event that marks a turning point in the studio’s history. On October 23, millions of players all over the world will experience Assassin’s Creed’s® Syndicate, a game created and developed in Quebec City with the support of eight other Ubisoft studios.* To celebrate the release of its biggest-ever project, the studio opened its doors today to give media a peek at the expertise and homegrown talent behind a production of this scope.

“Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was our chance to prove the team was ready to move to the next level and head up AAA projects,” said Ubisoft Quebec managing director Nicolas Rioux. “Ten years ago when we opened the Quebec City studio, we wanted to grow and take our place as a big-league player in AAA game development. Well, here we are—we’ve done it! It was an incredible experience. We’ve learned so much and everyone’s really outdone themselves to make sure players all over the world will enjoy an outstanding gaming experience. I’m extremely proud of the team, our game, and the bright future ahead of us.”

“Our team has produced the biggest and most modern open world in the history of the Assassin’s Creed franchise,” said François Pelland, senior producer on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. “After years of collaborating on this flagship Ubisoft franchise, we’re proud of the new ideas and modern features we’ve brought to it, and we’ve also shown our command of the core elements that make this series great.”

After crisscrossing the globe meeting fans, presenting the game, and sharing their passion, the Ubisoft Quebec team now invites people here at home to join them at Quebec City Comiccon, October 17 and 18 at the Quebec City Convention Centre. City residents will have a pre-release opportunity to get their hands on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and meet the game developers. There will also be a talk on the creation of the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate characters and world on Saturday, October 17, at 12:15 p.m.

Set in London during the height of the Industrial Revolution, players will step into the shoes of twin Master Assassins, Jacob and Evie Frye. Fighting to liberate London, Jacob and Evie help define the birth of organized crime in an adventure filled with action, intrigue and brutal combat.

The game will be released on October 23, 2015, on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One. The Windows PC version will be released November 19. For more on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, please visit the official website, assassinscreed.com.
